Sena Fini, gebürtig aus der Toskana, schloss ihr Studium am Konservatorium „G. Puccini” in La Spezia ab und setzte es anschließend am Konservatorium „L. Cherubini” in Florenz fort, wo sie mit Bestnote und Auszeichnung den zweijährigen akademischen Masterstudiengang in Klavier als Solistin in der Klasse von Maestro Giovanni Carmassi abschloss. Anschließend absolvierte sie den zweijährigen Masterstudiengang in Kammermusik am Konservatorium „A. Boito” in Parma, ebenfalls mit Bestnote, unter der Leitung von Maestro Pierpaolo Maurizzi, sowie den zweijährigen Qualifikationsstudiengang für die Wettbewerbsklasse Klavier am Konservatorium von La Spezia. Sie ergänzte ihre Ausbildung außerdem durch den Master I in künstlerischer und musikalischer Leitung am Konservatorium „L. Boccherini” in Lucca.

Sie nahm an Meisterkursen bei großen Meistern der internationalen Konzertszene teil, darunter Paul Badura-Skoda, Franco Scala, Vladimir Voskoboinikov, Bruno Canino und Aquiles Delle Vigne. Ihre Ausbildung wurde maßgeblich von Maestro Giovanni Carmassi beeinflusst, dem sie eine grundlegende Rolle in ihrer musikalischen Entwicklung zuschreibt.

Sie ist Gewinnerin zahlreicher nationaler und internationaler Wettbewerbe in Italien und im Ausland und zeichnete sich insbesondere mit dem zweiten Preis beim „United States International Duo Piano Competition” in Colorado (USA) und mit dem ersten Preis beim Finale des „Concours Musical de France” aus, der am Conservatoire National de Région de Bry-sur-Marne stattfand.

Sena Fini ist sowohl als Solistin als auch in Kammermusikensembles und mit Orchester konzertierend tätig und tritt in bedeutenden Theatern und Konzertsälen in Italien (darunter das Teatro Comunale in Pistoia, die Villa Tesoriera in Turin, das Maschio Angioino in Neapel, dem Teatro Petruzzelli in Bari, dem Teatro Impavidi in Sarzana und der Sala Garibaldi in Mailand) und im Ausland an renommierten Veranstaltungsorten wie derm Großen Saal des Mozarteums in Salzburg, dem Staatstheater in Satu-Mare (Rumänien), dem Polimusica in Madrid, dem Festiwal Muzyczny in Polen, dem Festival Vespres Musicals de Bolvir in Spanien, dem Foyer Européen in Luxemburg und in den Vereinigten Staaten in Chicago in der Nichols Concert Hall, New York im renommierten Konzertsaal der Yamaha Corporation, Boston für die Boston University und Colorado Springs auf.

Sie spielte als Solistin mit Orchestern wie dem Staatsorchester „Dinu Lipatti” in Satu Mare, dem Orchestra Apuana Femminile, dem Orchestra „L. Cherubini” und dem Orchestra del Conservatorio di La Spezia auf und arbeitete mit Dirigenten wie V. Maxia, S. Novak und R. Marchesi zusammen.

In den letzten Jahren hat sie sich besonders dem vierhändigen Klavierspiel gewidmet und mit berühmten Duos wie Claire Aebersold & Ralph Neiweem, Stanislava Varshavski & Diana Shapiro und dem Duo Paratore zusammengearbeitet. Zwei CDs für die Labels HOG und La Musica dokumentieren diese Arbeit.

Seit 2006 ist sie Gründerin und künstlerische Leiterin der Musikvereinigung „Clara Wieck Schumann” in Massa und Initiatorin von zwei Konzertreihen in den Gemeinden Massa und Forte dei Marmi, des Internationalen Musikwettbewerbs „Clara Wieck Schumann” und des Nationalen Musikwettbewerbs für Grundschulen, SMIM und Musikgymnasien.

Neben ihrer Konzerttätigkeit ist sie intensiv in der Lehre tätig: Viele ihrer Schüler haben sich bei nationalen und internationalen Wettbewerben ausgezeichnet. Sie wird regelmäßig als Jurymitglied zu Wettbewerben in Italien und im Ausland eingeladen.

Sena Fini, born in Tuscany, completed her studies at the ‘G. Puccini’ Conservatory in La Spezia and then continued at the ‘L. Boito Conservatory in Parma, also with top marks, under the guidance of Maestro Pierpaolo Maurizzi, as well as the two-year qualification course for the piano competition class at the Conservatory of La Spezia. She also supplemented her training with a Master I in artistic and musical direction at the L. Boccherini Conservatory in Lucca.

She has participated in masterclasses with great international masters including Paul Badura-Skoda, Franco Scala, Vladimir Voskoboinikov, Bruno Canino and Aquiles Delle Vigne. Her training was significantly influenced by Maestro Giovanni Carmassi, to whom she attributes a fundamental role in her musical development.

She has won numerous national and international competitions in Italy and abroad, notably winning second prize at the United States International Duo Piano Competition in Colorado (USA) and first prize at the final of the Concours Musical de France, held at the Conservatoire National de Région de Bry-sur-Marne. Sena Fini performs as a soloist, in chamber music ensembles and with orchestras, appearing in major theatres and concert halls in Italy (including the Teatro Comunale in Pistoia, the Villa Tesoriera in Turin, the Maschio Angioino in Naples, the Teatro Petruzzelli in Bari, the Teatro Impavidi in Sarzana and the Sala Garibaldi in Milan) and abroad at renowned venues such as the Great Hall of the Mozarteum in Salzburg, the State Theatre in Satu-Mare (Romania), the Polimusica in Madrid, the Festiwal Muzyczny in Poland, the Festival Vespres Musicals de Bolvir in Spain, the Foyer Européen in Luxembourg and in the United States in Chicago at the Nichols Concert Hall, New York in the renowned concert hall of the Yamaha Corporation, Boston for Boston University and Colorado Springs.

She has performed as a soloist with orchestras such as the ‘Dinu Lipatti’ State Orchestra in Satu Mare, the Orchestra Apuana Femminile, the Orchestra ‘L. Cherubini’ and the Orchestra del Conservatorio di La Spezia, and has worked with conductors such as V. Maxia, S. Novak and R. Marchesi.

In recent years, she has devoted herself particularly to four-handed piano playing and has collaborated with famous duos such as Claire Aebersold & Ralph Neiweem, Stanislava Varshavski & Diana Shapiro and the Duo Paratore. Two CDs for the HOG and La Musica labels document this work.

Since 2006, she has been the founder and artistic director of the Clara Wieck Schumann Music Association in Massa and the initiator of two concert series in the municipalities of Massa and Forte dei Marmi, the Clara Wieck Schumann International Music Competition and the National Music Competition for Primary Schools, SMIM and Music High Schools.

In addition to her concert activities, she is intensively involved in teaching: many of her students have won awards at national and international competitions. She is regularly invited to be a jury member at competitions in Italy and abroad.
